Consent first

Privacy & security
A camera in a parent's home is a serious thing. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to, in plain language, before you ever ask us for them.
Our commitments
Nothing is installed without the knowledge and agreement of the person living in the home. Their dignity outranks anyone's peace of mind, including ours.
Cameras cover shared living spaces and movement paths — never bathrooms, never anywhere a person would reasonably expect to be unobserved.
Video is encrypted on the appliance in the home. Access requires an individual account, and every session is authenticated.
Access is limited to people the family invites. We don't sell data, we don't advertise against it, and we don't hand it to third parties for their own use.
Video and customer data are stored on the appliance inside the home. They do not stream to our cloud, we do not keep a copy, and we cannot access them remotely.
StayHome AI does not collect clinical data. When wellness information is shared with a physician or care team, it's shared because the family chose to share it — with handling appropriate to sensitive health information.
Questions families ask
Video is captured in the home, processed in the home, and stored on the StayHome AI appliance in the home. It does not stream to the cloud, it is not stored on our servers, and it never leaves the household network unless the family chooses to share a specific clip.
Only the people the family explicitly invites to the care circle. Each person has their own login, and the account owner can change or remove access at any time. We cannot view your footage — we do not have a copy of it.
Because everything is stored locally on the appliance inside your home, deletion works like deleting a file from your own computer or phone. The family has full control over the device and its storage. There is no cloud copy for us to delete on your behalf.
Always. We ask that the person being cared for is part of the decision. Cameras are placed with them, not around them, and private spaces such as bathrooms are never covered.
The system is built around visual understanding of daily rhythm, not conversation. We do not use household audio to build the daily summaries families receive.
The observation engine runs on the appliance in the home and learns what a normal day looks like in that home so it can describe meaningful change. It supports a family's judgment — it does not diagnose, and it is not a medical device or an emergency service.

We'd rather answer hard questions about privacy now than have you wonder later.
